Excellent Customer Service is a Must!!

All of us have experienced bad customer service at one time or another, and unfortunately we usually remember these experiences far longer than we remember when someone has given us great customer service.

 
 
It’s also true that if we are treated poorly, we will tell twice as many people about the bad experience we've had than we would about a good one. So if your customers or clients aren’t coming back to you, or they’re telling others about how poorly they were treated, that could potentially mean the loss of thousands of dollars in revenue.
 
So, what should you do? Here are 7 tips to make sure that your company is on the right track when it comes to great customer service:
 
  • In reality, the client or customer is the most important person you deal with so they should never get the impression that you’re being rude. 
  • If you have made them a promise, follow through. You want them to trust you and your word. 
  • Remember, the customer is always right! (even if you know they’re wrong), so always take the high road and never argue with someone. 
  • “Fake it till you make it” Even if you’re having a bad day and don’t really want to deal with customer complaints or problems, pretend like you do so they never get the impression that you don’t. 
  • If a client or customer asks you for help, do everything you can to make sure they are taken care of, never view their need as an interruption since they are the whole reason you are in business at all! 
  • Don’t ever give the impression that you know the answer to something if you don’t! Nothing will turn a customer into an ex-customer faster than giving them wrong information. Tell them you will research it and find out. 
  • Always project a friendly attitude. No one wants to deal with someone who is negative and grumpy all of the time. Being friendly will encourage them to come back and tell their friends about you and your company.
